privacy
the short version: we don't upload or host your stuff. it stays on your machine.
your data stays on your device
The tools on abunchof.tools run entirely in your browser. When you paste into the clipboard, drop an image into a tool, or save a color, that data is processed and stored on your device — in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to us, uploaded to a server, or hosted anywhere.
The flip side is the important part: if you clear your cache and cookies — or use private/incognito browsing — anything you've saved here is gone. There's no copy on a server to restore from. So treat what you keep here as scratch space, not long-term storage, and take note of that before you wipe your browser.
what we do collect
- Anonymous, aggregate analytics (via Vercel Analytics) — basic page-view counts to see which tools get used. No accounts, no profiles, no selling your data.
- Email, only if you hand it over. If you enter your address in the "email updates" box, we store that email (and the IP it came from, for spam control) in our own storage — not a third-party newsletter service. We use it for one thing: telling you when new tools ship. We never sell or share it. Want off the list or want it deleted? Hit the feedback button and ask — it's gone.
- The MCP server is the one exception. If you connect an AI assistant to our remote MCP endpoint and call a tool, the text you send is processed on our server to compute the result, and we keep anonymous usage counts. We don't store the content of your requests. That only applies if you opt in by connecting an AI — the in-browser tools never use it.
ads on the tool pages
The individual tool landing pages carry ads through Google AdSense. The interactive canvas — the workspace where you actually use the tools — stays ad-free.
To serve those ads, Google and its ad-tech partners (third-party vendors) may use cookies, and can show ads based on your prior visits to this site or others. We don't run personalized ads unless you agree to them first: on your first visit you'll see a consent banner (Google's certified consent platform). Until you accept, ad tracking and storage stay switched off by default — so declining, or simply ignoring the banner, keeps you in the private, non-personalized mode.
You can review or change your choice at any time. To opt out of personalized Google ads, visit Google Ad Center, or opt out of third-party ad cookies across the industry at aboutads.info.
links out
Some tools link to other products (for example, the clipboard credits Super Clippy). Those are separate sites with their own privacy policies — once you click out, you're on their turf.
